Respected importers of poultry meat and table eggs
Asharqia Chamber presents its best greetings to you and informs you that it received a letter of the General Authority for Food and Drugs No. 21158 / AD dated 5/5/1439. It states that according to the report of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) No. 25549, dated 11 / (29/12/2017), which reports the emergence of highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N2) in the region of Kostroma Oblast in the Russian Federation. The Commission's decision No. (18498 / S) dated 20/4/1439, which prohibits the importation of poultry meat, table eggs and their products and equipment from the Kostroma Oblast region of the Republic of Russia due to the emergence of severe bird flu. The poultry meat, table eggs and their products that thermally treated or in any other way that can eliminate the avian influenza virus is excluded from the temporary ban, in accordance with the requirements and health regulations and approved standard specifications. A health certificate should be attached to prove that the product is a thermal agent or in any other way capable of eradicating the avian influenza virus, and be issued by the competent official authorities in the Republic of Russia. This temporary ban will continue until the health status of livestock is stabilized.
